Simon’s Boring Ass Life

Wow! It’s almost been a year since my last post here. No excuses.

Well since I’ve seen the movie I’m about to talk about in English, I chose to write this entry in English. I don’t think I need a second blog for English posts, I don’t write enough (or at all) anyway.

I just went and watched Kick-Ass at the UGC theater here in Bordeaux. Since I hate reviews that make you read the whole f***ing text before giving you its feeling, let me say it right away: Go watch this movie!

It’s funny, it’s irreverent, it’s packed with action and it’s not stupid. I don’t know for you but I don’t need much more to watch a movie. Hell if a movie is just one of those things, I’ll probably end up watching it at some point.

But with this film, I didn’t take risks anyway. I’ve read the comic book already and since it’s faithful to the original material, it kicked ass – I know, I know, this one is easy but I had to make it.

Kudos to the characters of Big Daddy and Hit Girl. They handle most of the fun and action parts (oh and Hit Girl is the irreverent part of the movie as well).

The only thing I didn’t like much was the teenager stuff. I usually like that kind of stuff but this part was kind of unoriginal.
